For a Udyam Assist certificate download: if your business was registered by a bank, NBFC, microfinance institution or government department because you don’t have GST, your certificate comes from the Udyam Assist Platform at udyamassist.gov.in, not from the main Udyam portal. Download it on the UAP portal, or ask the agency that registered you for the copy. It is free.
What is the Udyam Assist Platform?
The Udyam Assist Platform was launched by the Ministry of MSME on 11 January 2023 and is run by SIDBI. It brings informal micro enterprises — small shops, street vendors, home units and similar businesses that are not registered under GST — into the formal MSME system.
These businesses don’t register themselves. A Designated Agency (a bank, NBFC, MFI or government department that already knows them) registers them on the platform. The certificate issued is treated on par with the Udyam Registration Certificate for Priority Sector Lending.

Udyam Assist certificate download: step by step
Open the Udyam Assist Platform
Go to udyamassist.gov.in — the official SIDBI-run portal for UAP certificates.
Find the certificate download/print option
Use the option for enterprises to view or print their certificate, and enter the identification details asked for (such as your registration number and the OTP or passcode sent to you).
Verify and save the PDF
After verification, download the certificate and keep a copy on your phone and email.
Or ask your Designated Agency
If you can’t access it, ask the bank, NBFC or MFI branch that registered you. They can share or reprint the certificate.
The UAP screens change from time to time. If the labels differ from what you see, look for “print” or “download certificate” on udyamassist.gov.in, or contact the agency that did your registration.
Problems with the Udyam Assist certificate download
- You don’t know who registered you. Check your loan or account papers from the bank, NBFC or microfinance company — the designated agency is usually the lender.
- The OTP or passcode doesn’t arrive. It goes to the mobile number the agency recorded. Ask the branch to confirm the number on your record.
- Details are wrong. Only the agency that registered you can correct them on the platform; visit the branch with your ID.
- Someone asks for a fee. The certificate is free. Report any demand for money to the agency’s customer-care number.
